Our breast care team provides a comprehensive breast care service for patients who are undiagnosed or being treated for breast cancer.
The Burney Breast Unit at St Helens hospital is the central hub for our breast care service. Led by an experienced team of consultants and specialist nurses, the unit provides a range of services, including diagnostic screening, surgical intervention, breast reconstruction and post-operative care.
The Burney Breast Care Team regularly fundraise for the unit, including a well-attended charity ball held once every two years.
By supporting this fund, you will help us to provide additional support to patients through every stage of their journey – from initial screening through to post-treatment, and to maintain and upgrade the equipment used to diagnose, treat and manage breast cancers.
