The Respiratory department provides care for patients with various lung disorders.
Patients experiencing breathlessness and other symptoms suggestive of respiratory issues are assessed by specialist doctors and nurses experienced in diagnosing and treating conditions such as chronic asthma, lung cancer, Interstitial Lung Disease, and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
The team run a number of clinics for both new and existing patients, providing treatment, support and advice to help with managing their conditions. They have particular expertise in pulmonary rehabilitation, a programme of exercise and education to help patients better understand their condition, reduce breathlessness, and improve their physical fitness and overall wellbeing.
Your support will help to fund treatment, equipment, and education for patients with respiratory conditions, providing them with specialist medical devices and strategies to help improve their breathing and general health.
